Let’s Communicate!

  • Come learn about communication in a fun and informative workshop! We will be discussing the 5 different Communication Styles and how to communicate best with each style.  We will also be exploring the impact of negative communication and how to respond with positive communication techniques. This class will be taught by one of our own MSA’s here in Calgary. Tamara Nalder has a degree in Marriage and Family Studies and created this research-based workshop during her studies to help individuals improve their interpersonal communication skills.

Dance, Dance, Dance

  • The one and only De-Ann Weeks will come and teach us how to dance, Afrio House style. De-Ann has been earning awards and distinctions and sharing her passion for dance for years.  She started her successful career in Trinidad and has since brought her talents here to Calgary.  Afro Dance is an energetic dance style that originated in Africa. The style is an Angolan dance style that has evolved during a war period but is then mixed with a softer more cheerful side. Come dance with us!

Covenants: The Power of Divine Commitment

  • Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints enter into sacred covenants with the Lord throughout their lives, but do they understand the significance of them in their day-to-day lives? Are we drawing upon the power of our covenants to claim the blessings reserved for each of us? Come join the conversation about the power of proactive covenant participation! This class will be taught by Cindy Russell, she has worked with institute and seminary here in Calgary for 5 years. She is a delight to listen to and brings the gospel alive with her unique insights and thought provoking questions. You won’t want to miss this class!
